Top 5 Must Watch TED Talks

TED is a nonprofit company devoted to creating videos about Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then its scope has become ever broader. Now the talks cover all kind of topics with many different themes. They are profound, inspiring and extremely informative. I recommend you to head over to TED and watch as many videos as you can, but if your’e short for time these are my Top 5 favorites.

1. Jill Bolte Taylor: A Stroke Of Insight

2. Simon Sinek: How great leaders inspire action

3. Elizabeth Gilbert: Your elusive creative genius

 4. Ken Robinson: Schools kill creativity

5. Janet Echelman: Taking imagination seriously

  • I didn’t realize how much schools killed my creativity until I took a advertising class in college where I had to be creative. Didn’t realize how brainwashed I was. After 12 years of schooling, I was taught everything had to be a certain way. But in fact, it wasn’t and still isn’t true.

Thanks for your comment robert. School is the biggest killer of creativity – it teaches people what to think rather then how to think!
